About
Ballet is a graceful and structured dance form which also provides the basic foundation for many other kinds of dance. It improves posture, develops poise and coordination and the refined quality and control of the body achieved through the discipline of ballet technique. Expressive quality of movement is achieved as well as body toning and muscle development and above all enjoyment.
At Grade 1-3 the teaching has increased emphasis on correct posture, placement and line. Flexibility and strength building are also necessary components. A variety of steps are introduced and students learn both the vocabulary and how to join these together in different ways, and importantly to show enjoyment in what they are doing. Elevation, presentation and dance quality are developed throughout.
All Star Magic ballet classes incorporate multiple elements of theatrical disciplines and dance genres to build a more varied skill set using a holistic approach. These include elements of jazz, contemporary style, breathing exercises, singing whilst dancing and other supplementary aspects.

A trial class is offered for first-time students of Star Magic Dance Studio.
For all other classes, there is a one-time $35 Enrolment Fee (inclusive of 1 set of leotard, skirt, tights, shoes & hair accessory). There are no refunds for missed classes, however replacement classes can be arranged with Star Magic for the same level, or a level below.
Discounts:
Purchasing 2 classes at once earns a 10% discount on the second class. Purchasing 3 classes at once earns a 10% discount on the second class plus a 15% discount on the third class. Enrolling two siblings together earns a 5% discount on the second child.
