Why can’t I sign up for a CamboKidz account?
Sometimes when you enter your name and email on the sign up or login page a CAPTCHA challenge will appear. Unfortunately, even when you click the button or correctly complete the puzzle the CAPTCHA often resets itself in an endless loop. This is a known bug with the platform on which CamboKidz is built and is beyond our control.

Try closing and reopening the browser, or clearing its cache. You can also try to sign up on a different device or browser, or try again at a later date. For security reasons, we cannot sign up for you, but if you are still unable to create a new account please reach out to us using our contact form and let us know.

Who can see my profile?
By default, all your member information is private and nobody can see your profile details or site activities except your display name, which is visible if you post or comment in the Parent Forum. If you elect to have a public profile, other CamboKidz members will be able to see a list of your forum posts and comments, as well as any events you’ve booked on the site. Future updates may also allow public members to customize their profile page, and follow or chat with each other.

It’s important to remember that even in a public profile, your real name and contact information are never revealed.
To switch from a private to public profile (or vice versa), go to your My Account page and select the switch option in the Profile Visibility section. For an added level of privacy, you can also edit your Community Page URL to hide your original display name (however, you will need to temporarily switch into a public profile to edit the URL).

How can I get my business or program listed on CamboKidz?
If you manage an activity, event, course, shop or service in or near Phnom Penh that caters to parents or children then it might well deserve a place in our listings databases. Generally, it should be something suited to both local and expat clientele, and have instruction in English – but this is more of a guideline than a rule.

There is no charge for the listing. Either we agree it belongs on CamboKidz and accept it, or we don’t. If approved, we will create a listing and post it during a future update of the site’s databases.

At this point in time, CamboKidz is only posting listings set in brick-and-mortar venues, and we are not including online shops or services.

Listed or not, you can always choose to advertise your business or program on the CamboKidz site. Please contact us at cambokidzapp@gmail.com to discuss ad formats, sizes and pricing.

Can CamboKidz issue tickets or vouchers for my children’s activity or event?

Can I donate to CamboKidz?
CamboKidz is a free site. It took hundreds of hours of research, data collection, writing and coding to build the site, and it will take many more to continually update its databases and add new features. There are also significant costs to host and operate the site.

It is hoped that one day our advertising revenue will cover these costs, but for now the site operates at a loss. If you feel CamboKidz has been informative or helpful for you and your family, please consider sending us a tip or donation.
