Situated on its own lake about an hour from Phnom Penh, the garden of this day resort is chock full of fun and quirky exhibits that serve as backdrops for your photos. It also makes a great spot for a family picnic or chilled back afternoon by the lake.

There's no theme, just a mishmash of styles and genres, which lend to the fun and discovery. Without offering too many spoilers, while touring the garden you'll cross paths with dinosaurs, Star Wars stormtroopers, a windmill and some crudely fashioned Disney characters.

There is a restaurant on site, and you can also have food delivered to one of the covered chalets overlooking the lake. Or take a paddle boat out on the water, which is teeming with orange koi fish.

There's a small playground set for the younger kids and toys creatively built out of recycled tires. Your kids will also want to visit the pen full of cuddly bunnies.

Mohaprom Resort is located about 40 kilometers northeast of Phnom Penh in Kampong Speu province.
