About

This underrated museum recounts nearly 2,000 years of Cambodia's history from an economic and monetary perspective. That might sound a bit dry, but it is actually one of the best museums for kids to learn about Cambodian history while gaining an understanding of the monetary system.

The well-designed and informative displays tell the history of Cambodia through the medium of finance and currency, and exhibits feature old coins, paper banknotes and various artifacts dating from the Funan era to modern times.

The museum has an audio guide as well as several panels that play short insightful videos. There are also some games to play that put your newfound knowledge to the test, such as identifying real and fake banknotes.
